You would expect that, what with motorcycles stealing their name and all, hogs would be the domestic livestock critter of choice to want to knock a rider down. Not so in Michigan.
According to the Livingston Daily, a cow decided to get into the act.
No bull. A Howell woman riding through Jackson County on a Saturday morning put her Honda into Bessie as the cow wandered into the road from property owned by the state corrections department.
She was released from an Ann Arbor hospital after being treated for internal injuries. The woman, not the cow.
The cops haven't located the cow and the state won't admit to having cows enforcing either traffic laws or prison security. In fact, the cow cannot be found, leading some to wonder if the cow is undercover. OK, maybe not so much that last part.
"Police say the Michigan Department of Corrections owns the land where the crash occurred and they are not sure where the cow came from, but are working with state officials in an attempt to answer that question," the story states.
