The National Highway Transportation and Safety Administration, the same folks who bring us motorcycle-only checkpoints and enforcement by providing federal grants to local police department to encourage the harassment, announced that some Victory bikes could lose their passengers.
It seems that Victory Kingpin and Jackpot modesl made from 2004 to 2011 with accessory seats with backrests or double backrests, could suffer failure of the backrests. This could throw the passenger off the bike and result in injury to the passenger and serious anger directed at the rider.
The seat part numbers are 2876641-01 and 2875961-01.
