Ride to aid combat vets

On April 10, the Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 8169 will host a 100-mile Poker Run through Central Virginia to raise money to help combat veterans.

The run begins at 9 a.m., with registration at 8"30 a.m., at the post two miles east of Scottsville on Route 6. The ride rolls through Fluvanna, Albemarle and Buckingham counties. Cost is one Andrew Jackson ($20) for the rider and an Alexander Hamilton ($10) for the passenger and includes a meal.
