Rock slide closes The Dragon

By R. P. McMurphy Print Preview

U.S. 129 commonly known as "The Tail of the Dragon" is closed due to a major rock slide. Darryl Canon, a.k.a. "Killboy" has a series of blog posts up now showing the carnage. The Maryville Daily Times has some more details. There is no word on when it might reopen to the public.

The video below shows some idiot who obviously was not paying attention.

  • Yes, I guess it'll be awhile before we can ride the Dragon this year, but there are so many other great roads, we'll still be ridin!
