Needing a fix
I missed yesterday.
With the call to rain at 60 percent, I backed out of my daily commute. Now, with today’s call at 40 percent and tomorrow’s back to 60 and 40 pretty much through to next week, I’m left to wonder, do I Yoda or Thump?
The Corolla gets me 25 mpg in the city. The [...]
Ride for work.
I’m playing the lottery, I’m so damn lucky.
Despite the constant thrill ride of the economy and the concerns about little pink slips of paper, I’ve got the best job in the world. I was reminded why on Tuesday when I set off to Fluvanna County for a bit of the old question-and-answer.
Beautiful day and an [...]
When it rains, I’m usually riding
What’s in a nickname?
Doublemint
I traveled to Shenandoah Harley over the weekend to test ride a Buell Ulysses. What a fun bike!
I like the blue one better.
I strolled out to the parking lot and a guy and his wife were pulling in on, wouldn’t you know it, a 1985 Honda Magna V65. Pretty awesome.
On Being: Prepared
Thunder? Outside looking to the south sure enough. Storm clouds. Here we go again.
Recreation area
The recreation area at Oregon State Mental Hospital has completed renovations and is now available for inmate use. After the next group ride beers and burgers if the guards allow.
Ah, the joy of the SOBs
Yo, dad! SOBs rock!
Wanna ride a rollerblade?
Julien Rondinaud has designed a motorcycle based on the KTM SuperDuke that looks remarkably like an in-line rollerskate. I am so not kidding. It has three in-line wheels with the middle wheel delivering the power.
I have to say I agree with Badwebber Cityxslicker:
“These are exactly the people I want to stay on the couch. Go [...]
Dogwood Ride
Tonight was a great night to be on two wheels. Went out and meet some old friends. Went to the Box and made some new ones. As I was leaving downtown the boom of fireworks echoed off the concrete carcass of Skeletor. I hopped on the bike and rushed through the warm up procedure a [...]
Bike barn: I want this.
This is the coolest thing I have ever seen. It is a cross between a shed and a motorcycle cover. Sheds cost upwards of a grand and covers have their fair share of draw backs. This thing is a great compromise between the two. The Bike Barn. Awesome.
